Tankoa Yachts is preparing to launch its new-build 72-metre S701 motor yacht Solo on August 1, designed by Francesco Paszkowski and with naval architecture by Studio Ruggiero. The yacht, which will make her debut at the Monaco Yacht Show from 26-29 September.

Although reminiscent of the 69-meter Suerte (S693) launched in 2015, Solo is 3 m longer with a larger volume at 1,600+ GRT. Key differences from Suerte include an underwater exhaust, which has allowed the Tankoa Yachts team to create a more open main deck and sundeck allowing for an oversized panoramic salon. The longer waterline also provides for a higher top speed in excess of 17 knots.

Just like its predecessor, S701’s propulsion will come from a pair of 2,480hp Caterpillar 3516B diesel engines. Solo has accommodations for 12 guests in six cabins, including the master suite on the private owner’s deck, a VIP suite, four doubles, two of them convertible into twins. The private owner’s deck also includes a touch and go helideck aft while the exterior deck is equipped with its own Jacuzzi, bar, saloon, breakfast corner and day head. The Vip and Guest cabins are all on the main deck with astonishing sea views thanks to large windows.

The upper deck houses the wheelhouse with radio room, captain’s cabin, and a hair dressing/massage room. The aft section features an enormous observation lounge/salon with floor-to-ceiling windows, 90” 4K QLED TV screen, baby grand piano, bar and fireplace.
