Otam revealed the new 85 GTS Performance Yacht a one-off fast cruiser tailored and customised to the request of an interested client, penned by French architect Joseph Dirand. Based in Sestri Ponente, Genoa, the Italian shipyard is known for building fully customisable yachts that combine speed, design, and comfort.
Dual 2,600hp MTU engines and Arneson surface drives provide a top speed of 45 knots and a cruising speed of 38. It has tons of lounging space, a rear swim platform, bar, and galley. Dirand gave the exterior plenty of open lounging space, both fore and aft, and a broad open transom that leads down to the swim platform. The hard top has windows that extend along the sides but are not fully closed, so there is protection against the elements but also ventilation across the helm area. The area also as a bar and galley. Beautiful wooden planking gives the decks a classic look.
Perhaps most notable, though, are the twin full-beam master suites, which ensure that both the owners and their guests will have spacious quarters. The boat is due to be delivered to its owner in June 2019.
