Vacheron Constantin Unveils a New Overseas Era

Vacheron Constantin continues to expand the boundaries of its iconic Overseas collection in 2026. Following a year of technical milestones including the Dual-Time Cardinal Points quartet, an ultra-thin 2.4mm automatic model, and the collection’s first-ever minute repeater the Maison introduces a more understated yet equally compelling evolution: the smallest self-winding Overseas ever created.

Measuring 34.5mm, the new Overseas Self-Winding models arrive in either 18K 5N rose gold or stainless steel, preserving the collection’s signature design language with its six-sided Maltese Cross bezel, integrated bracelet, screw-down crown, and 50-meter water resistance. The focus now shifts to expression through color, with two distinct dial interpretations. The rose gold edition embraces refined monochromatic elegance, featuring a warm rose lacquered dial, sunburst satin finishing, velvet-textured minute track, pink gold markers, and blue Super-LumiNova accents. The stainless steel version takes a more daring approach with a deep red lacquered dial a first for the Overseas collection paired with 18K white gold markers and a dynamic sunburst finish.

Versatility remains at the heart of the Overseas philosophy. Both models feature Vacheron Constantin’s interchangeable strap system, allowing effortless transformation without tools. The rose gold version is offered with a matching pink gold bracelet, along with white rubber and white alligator straps, while the steel model comes with a stainless steel bracelet, deep red rubber strap, and glossy red alligator leather option with matching stitching.

Powering these new creations is the Manufacture Calibre 1088/1, a self-winding movement operating at 4Hz with a date display and approximately 40 hours of power reserve. Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, it represents the reliable everyday performance expected from a modern Overseas rather than a showcase complication.

Although positioned as a feminine interpretation, the 34.5mm case naturally appeals to a broader audience. Christian Selmoni, Vacheron Constantin’s Style & Heritage Director, explains that the move toward compact proportions is not about revisiting the past, but about expanding the ways the Overseas can be experienced today. With refined dimensions, expressive new colors, and enhanced versatility, the latest models continue to reinforce the collection’s identity as a modern companion built on Swiss craftsmanship, elegance, and exploration.
