Delta Marine Unveils New Hybrid Superyacht Series

American yacht builder Delta Marine has partnered with renowned London design house Bannenberg & Rowell Designto introduce an ambitious new collection of luxury superyachts that blends timeless craftsmanship with next-generation technology.

The newly announced series will include vessels ranging from 50 to 75 meters, combining contemporary exterior styling with advanced diesel-electric hybrid propulsion. Leading the collection is the DELTA + B&R 500, a 50-meter concept engineered to remain below the 500 gross tonnage (GT) threshold while maximizing outdoor living spaces. Rather than prioritizing interior volume, the yacht has been designed around the growing demand for expansive open-air experiences. Generous terraces, social lounges, and entertainment areas seamlessly connect with the interior, creating an environment where indoor and outdoor living naturally merge.

The exterior introduces a bold new design language that reimagines Delta Marine’s signature styling. Sculptural hull surfaces, crisp intersecting lines, and geometric detailing create a striking profile inspired by the iconic delta symbol. Angular canopies, sculpted aft sections, and reverse-raked glazing further reinforce a sense of movement, precision, and modern elegance.

According to Simon Rowell, Creative Director of Bannenberg & Rowell Design, the objective was to preserve Delta’s recognizable identity while introducing a more dynamic and contemporary visual character. The result is a yacht intended to remain visually relevant for decades while reflecting the evolving tastes of today’s owners.

Beyond aesthetics, the platform has been conceived for an active luxury lifestyle. The yachts are designed to accommodate long-distance cruising, watersports, entertaining, and extended time aboard without compromising comfort or performance.

Powering the new series is a sophisticated diesel-electric hybrid system featuring pod-drive propulsion and integrated battery energy storage. The configuration allows the yachts to operate efficiently across a variety of cruising conditions, reducing fuel consumption and emissions while maintaining the range, reliability, and performance expected from a world-class superyacht. The material palette and onboard finishes have also been developed with flexibility in mind, providing owners with a highly customizable foundation that can be tailored to individual preferences without altering the overall design philosophy.

For Delta Marine, the collaboration represents more than the launch of a new yacht series it signals the shipyard’s continued commitment to innovation through international partnerships and advanced engineering. As owner expectations increasingly shift toward sustainability, technology, and lifestyle-driven design, the DELTA + B&R collection offers a compelling vision of where the future of luxury yachting is headed.
