Piaget will donate a unique piece to the upcoming Only Watch 2023 charity auction, which takes place every two years in the Principality of Monaco goal of raising funds for research into Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The model is a radiant, multi-colored timepiece and takes its design from the “Hexa Grace” artwork. This is made by the artist Victor Vasarely, and exhibited in Monaco.
Housed in a rose-gold cushion-shaped case measuring 42 mm in diameter and only 6.5 mm in thickness, the Manufacture calibre 1200S1 is an eye-catcher with its green, blue, and rose-gold coloured skeletonised bridges, all specifically designed for this unique piece. Furthermore it is brightly colored with hard stone in the center. Colors that connect to the Only Watch theme of this year’s charity auction. It is an ultra-thin movement that only measures 2.4 millimeter in thickness, beats at a frequency of 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour) with a power reserve of 44 hours, making it a subtle dress watch.
The model comes on an interchangeable blue calf leather strap with green stitches. It also has a 18k pink gold folding buckle, and the buyer will get an additional blue calf leather strap with blue stitches as well. The timepiece will be awarded to the highest bidder during the Only Watch auction that will be held on November 5 in Monaco.
