Chopard Mille Miglia GTS Power Control Grigio Speciale

To celebrate 30 years of partnership between Chopard and the Mille Miglia, the Geneva-based manufacturer introduced the Mille Miglia GTS Power Control Grigio Speciale. Is no surprise to see Chopard introduce a new racing-inspired watch given the brand’s solid links to the world of motorsport – Le Mans with Porsche, Monaco Historic Grand Prix, Mille Miglia, Jacky Icks as ambassador. Chopard has been the official timekeeper of since 1988.

The watch is presented in a 43 mm x 11.43 mm matte titanium case with anthracite dial that features a uniquely textured “stippled” surface, contrasted by a “Rosso Corsa” red-tipped central seconds hand, a red “1000 MIGLIA” logo framing the date aperture, and a red hand with red Empty marking on the fuel gauge (which represents a mainspring power reserve of approximately 60-hours).

It is topped by a bezel with a graduated black aluminium inlay and a 60-minute (or 60-second, depending on which hand you use) track. The case retains its short, streamlined lugs that offer great comfort despite the relatively large case diameter. It is complemented by an integrated strap in Cordura, a high-performance fabric used for driver race suits and a shot-blasted stainless steel folding clasp.

Visible on the backside is the COSC-certified automatic caliber 01.08-C which beats at 4Hz, measures 28.60 mm x 4.95 mm, with 40 jewels, 251 total components, and a 60-hours power reserve.
