Porsche has added a new Coupe model to the 2020 Cayenne crossover-SUV options. Porsche Cayenne Coupe features a redesigned profile characterized by sharper lines with a redesigned rear section, an adaptive rear spoiler, individual rear seats, and either a panoramic fixed glass roof fitted as standard, or an optional carbon fiber roof.
Identical to the regular Cayenne but it features a lower, sloping roof that evokes the classic 911 side windows and rear. The taillights sit at a different angle, the rear fenders are fatter than on the regular Cayenne. Redesigned rear doors and quarter panels broaden the shoulders of this vehicle. The license plate bracket is now a part of the bumper. The coupe is 0.7 inch wider and 0.8 inches lower.
Two versions of the Coupe will be available at launch: the entry-level model powered by the 335-hp, 332-lb-ft single turbo V-6; and the Cayenne Turbo Coupe, which has a 541-hp, 567-lb-ft variant of Porsche’s versatile 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 under the hood. The 2020 Porsche Cayenne Coupe comes standard with the Sport Chrono Package from the standard Cayenne crossover. This includes both high-performance engine options for the Cayenne.
For the first time, the Cayenne model line is also available with a carbon fiber roof as an option offered exclusively with the Coupe models. This option is available in one of the three lightweight sports packages. The interior is virtually identical to that of the current Cayenne.
“The Coupe includes all the technical highlights of the current Cayenne, but has an even more dynamic design and new technical details that position it as more progressive, athletic, and emotional,” said Porsche chairman Oliver Blume.
Porsche says that the Cayenne Coupe will be available late in 2019 for the 2020 model year. The Cayenne Coupe costs $75,300 while the Cayenne Turbo Coupe is priced at $130,100. Discover Opulent Club on Apple News.
