Automobili Lamborghini presented its new concept car, the Lamborghini Lambo V12 Vision Gran Turismo that utilizes the same hybrid powertrain found in the one-of-63 Sián.
Designed as an uncompromising, forward-looking single-seater track car, it’ll appear in virtual digital environment of the iconic racing game Gran Turismo Sport for Sony PlayStation 4.
Lamborghini is a very young brand, and this is why we are here today to present our newest virtual vision in the form of a real model, with a highly futuristic and cool design to be enjoyed by the young generation of racing game and super sports car enthusiasts. – Stefano Domenicali, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A
Like most Lamborghini concepts, the Lambo V12 Vision GT looks like something from outer space. It is a single seater, which in its virtual form uses the powertrain from the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37. The design draws inspiration from historic Lamborghini design DNA mixed with futuristic design language. There are six exhaust pipes, one on each side, and the ultra-thin taillight forms a massive Y with the rear wing. The hexagonal windows extending below the shoulder line are inspired by Marcello Gandini’s 1968 Marzal concept.
This visionary concept requires an interior design ahead of its time. The driver enters the cabin like a jetfighter pilot, from the front of the car. The main driving controls can be found within the futuristic steering wheel and all driver information is projected virtually in front of the driver.
The Lambo V12 will appear in-game come spring 2020 after the design team makes its final revisions. Sadly for those of us hoping to take a ride in real life, it doesn’t look like that’s ever going to happen. Discover Opulent Club on Apple News.
