Montegrappa Marks 60 Years of the Lamborghini Miura with a Collector’s Pen

To mark six decades since the Lamborghini Miura’s debut, Montegrappa and Automobili Lamborghini have created a limited-edition writing collection inspired by the celebrated supercar. The Automobili Lamborghini Miura series comprises fountain pens and rollerballs, translating the car’s unmistakable character into an object designed for the hand.

When the Miura appeared at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show, its transverse mid-mounted engine and sculptural proportions helped establish a new vision of the modern supercar. Montegrappa’s design draws on the car’s flowing contours, with details across the clip, cap ring and finial recalling its signature vents and engine louvres.

The collection’s most whimsical detail is tucked into the cap: miniature pop-up headlights made from rock crystal. A small push-button mechanism raises them in a nod to the original Miura’s distinctive headlamp action. On the fountain pen, an 18-karat gold nib finished in ruthenium sits above an ebonite feed, while an engraved Lamborghini shield adds a final marque reference.

Three colourways echo the Miura’s original palette: Fly Yellow, Miura Green and Black. Each instrument arrives in a presentation case inspired by the supercar’s interior, completing a design that bridges Italian automotive heritage and traditional pen craftsmanship.

Production is limited to 60 fountain pens and 60 rollerballs. The fountain pen is priced at $9,900, and the rollerball at $8,250. The Automobili Lamborghini Miura collection is scheduled to arrive in mid-November 2026 at selected jewellery and watch retailers, department stores and Montegrappa’s website. For collectors drawn to both fine writing and Italian motoring, it offers a small-scale tribute to a landmark car.
