Maserati Levante Trofeo A 590 Horsepower Italian Super-SUV

It isn’t just a Maserati SUV. It’s one of the fastest vehicles they make. This is the 2019 Maserati Levante Trofeo, with a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 all-wheel-drive that spits out 590 horsepower and 538 lb-ft of torque push the Trofeo from 0-60 in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 187 MPH, and it’s aimed squarely at the new supercharged Jag, and the likes of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo and BMW X5 M.

The interior is wrapped in Pieno Fiore leather that ages uniquely, and each car comes with a plaque bearing the release number and owner’s name. There’s also a new Corsa (“race,” in Italian) mode, in the event you feel like taking your luxury SUV to the track. Corsa improves engine response and opens exhaust valves in acceleration, provides quicker gear shifting, lowered ride height and optimized all-wheel-drive settings.

“In the case of Trofeo, the engineers and designers in Modena knew that the driveline parameters were more than able to cope with additional power and they also knew that Maserati had access to the finest engines on earth,” said Tim Kuniskis, Maserati CEO. “So, they were up to the challenge of making the finest luxury SUV also one of the fastest.”

For customers located in the U.S. or Canada, Maserati offers a Levante Trofeo Launch Edition that adds package-exclusive design touches. Included are black accents that darkens the exterior, along with the requisite serialized “Launch Edition” plaque on the center console.

Production will be very limited, with deliveries starting Summer 2018.
