Luxury Bulgari Hotels to Launch First Japanese Property in 2022

A Bulgari Hotel will open in Tokyo at the end of 2022, under an agreement with leading global real estate company Mitsui Fudosan Co. Ltd. The hotel will be located in a high rise building in the Yaesu 2-Chome North District Category-I Urban Redevelopment Project, occupying the 39th to the 45th floors.

“Japan is such a strategic market where Bulgari as a brand has been present for 30 years,” said chief executive officer Jean-Christophe Babin. “Jewelry and hospitality combine perfectly to meet Bulgari’s clients’ expectations of a high level of service not only in our brand stores, but also when staying in our extraordinary properties offering luxury services in an environment which reflects the Bulgari spirit.”

The hotel is to be designed by the Italian architecture firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Bulgari promises that “it is poised to be one of the brightest new stars in the Tokyo skyline.”

98 rooms will be on offer including what the company calls their extraordinary Bulgari Suite. Guests will have access to a bar, restaurant and fireplace lounge which all have their own outdoor terraces. Chocoholics can lose themselves in the chocolate store while a ballroom is on hand for major events. Those seeking a relaxing wellness experience will be thrilled to know that the hotel will boast a 1500-square-metre Spa complete with a 25-metre indoor pool and fitness center.

The Italian jewelry firm now counts hotels in London, Bali, Beijing and Dubai. Openings are planned in 2018 in Shanghai and in 2020 in Moscow and Paris.
