Hublot Unveils New Mykonos Timepiece

Hublot and its partner GOFAS Jewellery have unveiled a new Mykonos timepiece for the summer. Inspired by the Aegean Sea and the Cyclades Archipelago the watch features a sky blue ceramic bezel and unique rotating windmill, the iconic symbol of the island, “waving” at 3 o’clock, the iconic symbol of Mykonos.

Windmills are a symbol of the Greek island’s rich virile past. They represented one of the earliest manufacturing units in the country and exemplified the locals’ great use of innovation in an effort to control and utilize the power of the wind. There used to be 28 windmills all over the island, 10 out of which were located in the Kato Mili complex. Today, 16 old windmills are still standing, most them thoroughly refurbished and can be visited.

Crowned with sky blue ceramic bezel, the 45-mm case encloses a skeleton self-winding chronograph movement, held on a bi-material strap in black rubber and sky blue alligator leather. The sapphire dial showcases the Hublot logo engraved at the crown in either polished king gold or titanium.

The limited editions of 50 pieces each comes in two variants: the titanium and king gold represent the combination between the sky and the sea.  Discover Opulent Club on Apple News.
