Aston Martin Unveils the New Vantage Roadster

Aston Martin has unveiled the all-new Vantage Roadster, seamlessly blending its signature luxury with cutting-edge engineering for a fresh interpretation of the iconic model. Building on the technical advancements of the 2024 Vantage Coupe, the Roadster elevates its sibling’s performance and sophistication while introducing the exhilaration of open-top driving.

Like the coupe, the convertible is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine sourced from Mercedes-Benz AMG, tuned to produce an impressive 656 horsepower—a substantial increase from the previous Vantage Roadster’s 503 horsepower. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an electronically controlled limited-slip differential, paired exclusively with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Even with the addition of a retractable roof, the Vantage Roadster maintains its dynamic agility and exhilarating power, delivering a driving experience on par with its coupe counterpart.

A highlight of the Vantage Roadster is its advanced Z-fold roof mechanism, a lightweight and compact system that enables the roof to be fully opened or closed in just 6.8 seconds—even at speeds of up to 31 mph (50 km/h).

The Vantage Roadster preserves the coupe’s dramatic lines, whether the roof is raised or lowered. New paint options, a selection of roof colors, and customizable livery designs further enhance its bespoke allure. Inside, next-generation infotainment includes a sleek Pure Black touchscreen complemented by intuitive physical controls for a seamless user experience.

Inside the Vantage Roadster’s cabin features Aston Martin’s next-generation infotainment system, debuting in the DB12. At its core is a 10.25-inch Pure Black touchscreen, offering intuitive operation through capacitive gestures and physical switches for key functions. Enhancing the experience, a new Aston Martin connectivity app—compatible with both iOS and Android devices—ensures seamless interaction between driver and vehicle.

“Vantage Roadster was no different feat in that it is a fully reinvented experience, with all the benefits of the Coupe and no compromise to refinement or performance through meticulous work by our engineering and dynamics teams,” Aston Martin’s still-new CEO Adrian Hallmark said in a statement. “Vantage Roadster delivers a world-class roof-down driving experience like no other.”

According to Aston Martin, deliveries are expected to commence between April and June, with pricing starting at $205,900.
