Italian designer Antonio Luxardo has revealed the latest addition to the Amer Yachts portfolio with the debut of the Amer 42A, a 42-metre superyacht that brings together contemporary Italian styling, advanced engineering and lightweight aluminium construction.
Defined by its flowing silhouette and athletic stance, the new concept embraces elegant proportions that create a striking presence without unnecessary excess. Every exterior line has been carefully shaped to deliver a sense of movement, giving the yacht a refined yet performance-oriented character.

The designation “A” reflects the yacht’s full-aluminium construction, a material selected for its ability to reduce displacement while enhancing speed, efficiency and overall performance. Beyond its technical advantages, aluminium also provides the flexibility required to realise Luxardo’s sculptural vision, allowing complex curves, dramatic overhangs and finely sculpted surfaces that would be more challenging to achieve with conventional materials.
Natural light plays a central role throughout the design. Expansive floor-to-ceiling glazing strengthens the connection between interior living spaces and the surrounding seascape, while gracefully cascading deck levels create an effortless flow between outdoor entertainment areas.

The onboard layout has been conceived to balance social living with private retreat. The generous sundeck offers multiple spaces dedicated to relaxation and open-air entertaining, while the full beam owner’s suite occupies a privileged position on the main deck. Guest accommodations are located on the lower deck, ensuring comfort and privacy for everyone on board.
A standout feature is the spacious aft deck, where stepped platforms descend towards the water and fold-down bulwarks expand the available living space, transforming the stern into an inviting beach club environment.

The Amer 42A represents the latest chapter in the long standing creative partnership between Antonio Luxardo and Amer Yachts. Their collaboration began with the shipyard’s Steel series before extending to models including the 96 Sanremo, F106 and F126, helping define the brand’s evolving design identity.
Meanwhile, construction continues on Amer Yachts’ flagship 73.8-metre Amer 74 Steel, another Luxardo designed project that is expected to be delivered next year, further demonstrating the shipyard’s commitment to combining Italian craftsmanship with contemporary superyacht innovation.
