MB&F releases the final edition of the HM6, now in stainless steel. The highly-technical watch strays from all traditions, and incorporates a large 52mm biomorphic case that houses the 360° spheres which tell the hours and minutes, and display the flying tourbillon along with two aluminum turbines at the top.
What makes the HM6 Final Edition special? First, a case in stainless steel – a very rare metal in MB&F’s production, also features polished grooves running along the case, accentuating its curves. Dark blue hour and minute spheres match the blue winding rotor. And finally, a more generous central dome, allowing an even better panoramic view of the flying tourbillon, which features a retractable shield and sits at the core of the 475-component movement.
Inspired by The Comet spaceship from the Japanese anime Captain Future, each watch takes months to craft, spending hundreds of hours alone on just machining and polishing. Other outstanding details can be seen in the “battle-axe” rotors, display-back bridge, and in the special tourbillon shield which opens and closes with the 9 o’clock crown.
Available in a final limited edition of only 8 pieces in stainless steel. Price in USD before VAT for each of the eight MB&F HM6 Final Edition watches is $215,000. Learn more at mbandf.com
