LOUIS VUITTON’S FIRST DUPLEX BOUTIQUE AT CHANGI AIRPORT

Changi Airport Group (CAG) has opened a refurbished Terminal 3 Central Piazza and the airport’s first Louis Vuitton store. Louis Vuitton’s first Southeast Asian airport boutique couldn’t be anymore different.

Located at T3 Transit Hall and Central Piazza features the airport’s latest feature garden the Crystal Garden and its glass dandelion sculptures. The double-storey store was conceived to whisk those who enter into the belly of Vuitton. “Flying machines” and monogram trunks suspended above whisper of its travel beginnings; leather-lined tables nod at the ways they’ve come with their exquisite leather-work and coveted accessories; the towering LED screen bordering its entrance, a constant reminder of the brand’s fascination with technology.

As the luxury brand’s first duplex airport store in the world, it aims to become a travel destination itself, noted CAG. The opening completes a trio of duplex stores alongside The Shilla Duty Free’s Cosmetics & Perfumes outlet and the DFS Wines & Spirits duplex.

At the rear, a staircase leads up to its second floor intended for exhibitions. For the boutique’s opening, it is furnished with archival antiques that tell the story of Louis Vuitton’s longtime dedication to aviation.

The Crystal Garden is the seventh feature garden at Changi Airport. It comprises 1,735 Bohemian glass components hand blown with different finishes, giving the sculpture richness and texture.
