Bentley Unveils A Bolder, More Powerful, and Greener 680 PS Hybrid Lineup

The legendary British marque has just significantly expanded its hybrid lineup, introducing a second plug-in V8 option for the Continental GT, GT Convertible, and Flying Spur. For those who find a 771-horsepower ultra-luxury sedan or grand tourer a bit over the top, Bentley now offers a more balanced alternative. Enter the High Performance Hybrid powertrain—a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 paired with a single electric motor. This refined setup delivers a slightly tamer, yet still formidable, 671 horsepower.

The key difference lies in the gasoline engine. Speed models with the Ultra Performance Hybrid deliver 592 hp from the V8, plus 187 hp from the electric motor. The new High Performance setup keeps the same electric output but retunes the engine to 512 hp, with torque dropping slightly from 590 to 568 lb-ft. Both use the same 25.9-kWh battery.

Though the new High Performance Hybrid models sacrifice 100 horsepower compared to the Speed variants, they remain anything but slow. Bentley’s engineering ensures that performance is still firmly in the realm of grand touring excellence. The Continental GT coupe accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in a brisk 3.5 seconds, while the convertible version follows closely behind at 3.8 seconds—only about half a second shy of the more powerful Speed model.

The Flying Spur, Bentley’s elegant four-door grand tourer, matches the convertible’s 0–60 time of 3.8 seconds, offering a remarkable blend of poise and power. Where these new hybrids quietly outshine their more aggressive siblings is in electric-only range: the Continental GT coupe delivers up to 53 miles on electric power alone, while the convertible achieves 51 miles. The Flying Spur offers a still-impressive 50 miles of serene, emission-free driving—perfect for city journeys or quiet weekend escapes.

Continental GT & GT Convertible

The fourth-generation Continental GT and GT Convertible retain their iconic grand tourer presence, now with sharper styling and more power. Signature Bentley elements remain, including the gloss black matrix grille with chrome accents, polished tailpipes, and jewel-like crystal-cut ‘Harmony’ headlamps.

Inside, it’s pure craftsmanship. Hand-stitched seats, bespoke finishes, and personalized treadplates proudly marked “Handcrafted in Crewe, England” create an atmosphere of effortless luxury.

The Azure

For those who equate luxury with serenity over speed, the new Azure editions of the Continental and Flying Spur are the ultimate escape—designed to soothe, with tranquil details and wellness-focused technology that even enhances your breathing.

The Azure exudes effortless elegance, featuring a sleek black grille, striking 22-inch wheels, and signature Azure badges. Inside, indulge in luxurious comfort with 3D diamond-quilted seats, open-pore walnut trim, and wellness-enhancing features, including heated, ventilated, and massaging seats

Flying Spur

The design is quintessential Bentley: a gloss black matrix grille, refined chrome accents, fluted leather seats, and a perfect balance of sophistication and presence. Inside, revel in a world of opulence, where chrome details (or optional dark chrome) set the tone, complemented by cutting-edge technology, soft-close doors, and every modern luxury you could desire.

The Flying Spur Azure

Step into the Flying Spur Azure and experience Bentley’s unparalleled wellness on wheels. All four seats offer heating, cooling, and massage with custom settings, while mood lighting, quilted leather, open-pore walnut, and Azure-branded treadplates create a spa-like atmosphere. All this luxury, with a 0 to 60 time under four seconds.

The new Continental GT starts at £202,400 in the UK, €210,924 pre-tax in Europe, and $265,900 in the U.S. This investment secures not just power, but an extraordinary blend of performance, prestige, and sustainability.
