[dropcap size=small]P[/dropcap]ininfarina has announced that it will unveil an electric concept car under the name HK GT at the Geneva Motor Show this March. Although it’s just released teasers for now, the new HK GT concept car is billed as an ‘elegant and eco-sustainable Gran Turismo’.
Pininfarina has partnered with Hybrid Kinetic Group, a Hong Kong listed company mainly engaged in new energy and electric car related business. From the images, we can see that the new concept is a coupe with sharp lines and protruding taillights. It also looks like the side mirrors have been replaced by cameras, while the interior features deep sports seats.
The new GT blends Pininfarina’s illustrious design heritage with HKG’s range extender EV powertrain. Details are scarce, but Pininfarina says that it ‘interprets a classic architecture of the Italian automobile while continuing to refine the identity of the Hybrid Kinetic brand.’
