The New Aston Martin DB12 S Delivers More Power Than Ever

With the introduction of the DBX S and Vantage S, the DB12 is now set to receive its own ‘S’ upgrade. This isn’t merely a DB12 with extra horsepower it represents a comprehensive refinement of the model, focused on shedding weight and amplifying excitement through a newly tuned exhaust system.

Aston Martin unveiled the DB12 S on Wednesday, revealing that it delivers 690 horsepower and sprints from zero to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds both notable improvements over the previous DB12’s 671 horsepower and 3.5-second benchmark.

The auditory experience has been elevated with the addition of a quad-exit stainless steel sport exhaust system. It delivers a richer, more assertive tone than the standard DB12. The DB12 S also benefits from recalibrated suspension, a reworked limited-slip differential, and refined steering dynamics all designed to heighten driver connection and enhance feedback on the road. Further updates center on a more responsive throttle setup, featuring a newly calibrated, S-specific drive-by-wire throttle map that offers a more progressive and lively pedal feel. Additional enhancements include revised software for the Bilstein DTX dampers to better manage roll and pitch, as well as a stiffer rear anti-roll bar for improved handling precision.

Inside, the DB12 S offers an array of luxurious customization options, including full semi-aniline leather, a blend of semi-aniline leather and Alcantara, or leather accented with Alcantara inserts. Buyers can also select between plush comfort seats or lightweight carbon sport seats to suit their driving preferences.

The Aston Martin DB12 S is available to order now in both coupé and Volante forms, with first deliveries slated for early 2026.
