Peruvian restaurant group, COYA, is set to launch its first European restaurant outside of London, opening in Monaco this May. The new eatery will be opening on the east side of Monte-Carlo this coming May, coinciding with the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix. It will be located above Jimmy’z Monte-Carlo and the four-star Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort on Avenue Princesse Grace.
The Latin American restaurant group says that the 257-cover venue will feature a bar and contemporary Peruvian restaurant, and hopes to “revive the city’s culinary scene, providing a vibrant hub for international visitors and the stars of music, film, fashion and sport.”
The Monaco restaurant will open overlook Monte Carlo Bay and has been designed by London-based design studio Sagrada, who is responsible for all COYA venues. The sweeping terrace, which captures views of the ocean and French Riviera will become a colourful destination hotspot, featuring COYA’s infamous Pisco Bar & Lounge and a luxury shisha experience where guests can select from a menu of exotic fruit infusions.
A key design feature of the restaurant will be the Ceviche Bar an open prep kitchen that intends to “put guests at the centre of the action to watch the iconic Peruvian dishes being made.” A 30-seater Private Dining Room, the largest across all COYAs worldwide, will provide ultimate exclusivity and a spectacular dining experience with unrivalled views.
“The COYA team and I could not be more excited to expand in Europe, and our location overlooking the ocean in Monaco will offer a second to none experience in the iconic city,” said Chef Sanjay Dwivedi.
The newly launched restaurant will be open in May and will close in October for the winter period.
