Vacheron Constantin Overseas model family, a member of the renowned luxury sports watch concept. First launched in blue and silver editions, later followed by warm and original brown versions, for 2018, with the introduction of the Vacheron Constantin Overseas Automatic 4500V and Chronograph 5500V, now with black dials.
Among the new black dials versions, the chronograph model is equipped with a “reverse Panda” style dial that we mostly see in vintage-inspired models. The new Vacheron Constantin Overseas Collection, presented with a choice of only blue or white color dials, is updated with new versions featuring black lacquer dials.
The entry-level watch in the Vacheron Constantin Overseas collection is the 4500V Automatic. This 41mm watch, with an in-house self-winding movement, features a vertical clutch chronograph and offers 52 hours of power reserve when fully wound, Poinçon de Genève certification. The dial manufactured is still the same, with a translucent lacquer applied on top, which exposes the surface finishings underneath. However, the new model is not simply a Vintage inspired timepiece as the case refers to a modern yet sporty watch with a diameter of 42.5mm and a total height of 13.7mm.
The other novelty in the collection is the three-hand version. Vacheron Constantin Automatic is offered in a stainless-steel case with a diameter of 41mm like the previous versions. The model is powered with the in-house movement Caliber Ref. 5100 which can offer 60 hours of power reserve thanks to its double barrels.
The collection is now completed by a black dial version, yet with one main difference; revealing contrasting sub-dials for the first time, making it a so-called “reversed-panda” watch (black dial with silver chronograph sub-counters). The newly introduced versions are available with all stainless-steel bracelets, rubber straps and leather straps as well as all models in the Overseas Collection
