BMW has redefined the roadster which the revealed off the 2019 BMW Z4 M40i First Edition made it world debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. With dynamic proportions, emotional design and fascinating sportiness, the open-top two-seater take the classic roadster concept into the world of today and tomorrow.
First Edition cars will come in frozen orange metallic paint with an anthracite power-folding soft top, and 19-inch alloy wheels are standard. Inside, you get fancy black leather, ambient lighting and a Harman Kardon premium audio system. The model will also come equipped with a head-up display and the aforementioned digital instrument cluster. It looks like it’ll be a pleasant place to spend time. The new Z4 will be powered by a 3.0 liter, inline-six-cylinder engine. BMW has not confirmed the official power output for the US spec Z4. However, expect output to be north of 350 horsepower. According to BMW, the Z4 M40i can reach 60 mph from a standstill in an estimated 4.4 seconds.
First Edition cars will arrive in dealerships in the second quarter of 2019, while the base-model four-cylinder Z4 30i will arrive in spring. BMW has yet to reveal pricing or additional performance specifications for the 2019 Z4, promising that this information will come in September.
