Right on time for the holidays, French luxury brand Chanel has recently inaugurated a pop-up shop in New York on 5 East 57th Street. Branded “Le Rouge Chanel”, the three-story shop is characterised by the rich red hue, which dates back to its founder, Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel, and her love for the colour that went on to inspire her signature red lipstick as part of her fist makeup collection.
The interactive beauty space, open to the New York City public from December 7 to December 23, is filled with carefully curated, limited-edition beauty products, like the brand’s signature scent, N°5, now reimagined in red for the first time. Inside, the pop-up offers several activations like a Lip Lounge, a Fragrance Bar, including the chance to book consultations with Chanel celeb makeup artists Kate Lee and Fulvia Farolfi, special red manicures with nail artist Madeline Poole and sessions with calligraphers, numerologists and, of course, lip readers.
The real special item on offer, however, is a 30.4 fl oz N°5 perfume bottle 10-times its original size made of Baccarat glass and retailing for $30,000. There are only 55 of them available in the world.
Le Rouge Chanel is open and free to the public December 7–23 at N°5 East 57th Street, New York City. Discover Opulent Club on Apple News.
