Van der Valk has announced that the 32m/105ft motor yacht Jangada 2 is nearing completion for delivery in May 2019, in time for the summer cruising season in the Mediterranean. Jangada 2 is the fifth fully custom megayacht from the shipyard.
The naval architecture was done in-house by Van der Valk. The V-shaped hull features Van Oossanen’s patented Hull Vane® with a fixed foil. The main deck aft is furnished with loose chairs and a table and connects with the main salon by sliding back the curved glass doors. A VIP stateroom is placed on the main deck forward to enjoy excellent views, and the lower deck hosts the full-beam Master suite with large wardrobes and its own office. Three more cabins are located on the lower deck and sleep up to seven adults and children, for a total of 11 guests on board.
The VIP’s en suite head can double as a day head, too, yet be closed off from the rest of the stateroom. “This kind of smart thinking typifies the genuinely bespoke nature of the project,” de Groot says. “The owner visited several other top builders before electing for Van der Valk, and no other yard could offer him such a tailor-made creation.”
The yacht will have a maximum speed of 24 knots, powered by two MTU engines with the power of 1,950 hp each. The cruising speed will be 18 knots. Discover Opulent Club on Apple News.
