At the SIHH 2019, Ulysse Nardin launched a collection based on the X-factor, an insane yet kind of cool timepiece designed for Mega Yacht owners, and a more wearable and accessible version of their Freak watch – announced yet another splashy timepiece. Ulysse Nardin introduces a new, very hot version sizzling with red and black tones, the Ulysse Nardin Skeleton X Magma.
Made from a combination of ultra-light carbon fiber and red, marbled epoxy resin each Skeleton X Magma is unique. It is combined with a black leather strap attached with a triple-lug device.
The dynamic design of the watch represents an “X” formed by four red indexes, centered by a black rectangle, and anchored by red Roman numerals on each side. All the element combine red and black to continue with the magma theme.
The movement is the impressive openworked that appears to be floating inside the case, is a manufacture made manually wound UN-371 caliber has 4-day power reserve with a 3Hz beat rate, extra wide silicon balance wheel with nickel flyweights and a silicon escapement, all visible at 6 o’clock. The Skeleton X Magma has been re-sized for action to a compact 43mm.
