Chanel is introducing a luxury pop-up boutique in the picturesque mountains of Aspen, Colorado. The 1,960 square-foot space is situated at the base of the Elk Mountains, the store will offer items from the cruise 2019 collections by Virginie Viard, Lagerfeld’s successor as artistic director, shoes, handbags, costume and fine jewelry, watches, and fragrance and beauty.
At the entrance, mirrored columns nod to the mirrored staircase of the French brand’s 31 rue Cambon flagship in Paris, while additional columns are covered in black velvet with matelassé, much like the fashion house’s signature quilting.
Alongside pieces from the Fall/Winter 2019 collection and Cruise 2020 collections, fashion-forward mountain dwellers can find an array of winter accessories and essentials throughout the store. Visitors of the boutique will be among the few to see Lagerfeld’s last creations in a setting fit to match the one he envisioned. Visitors may explore the ephemeral boutique until January 21, 2020.
