Global luxury hotelier Habitas welcoming a new luxury resort in Mexico, Habitas San Miguel, located on the outskirts of UNESCO World Heritage site San Miguel de Allende. The property is located just 10 minutes from the city’s historic center, situated in a natural park of hot springs and walking trails and offering views of the Valle de los Senderos and town.
The 60 sustainably built luxury rooms spread across open fields and towering stands of cactus, focus on eco-consciousdesign and functionality without taking from its luxurious amenities. The hotel lets you take advantage of its majestic grounds by taking a dip in its hot springs or enjoying a hike on one of the walking trails with views of the Valle de Los Senderos.
Guestrooms will be single-bedroom suites with limestone walls, private terraces and gardens, sustainable bedding and stylish decor from local artisans. In keeping with the brand’s commitment to locally sourced produce, the resort will initially offer one gourmet restaurant to guests and outside visitors with farm-to-table dining highlighting local recipes and ingredients.
As part of the brand’s signature amenities, a “beach club,” with a real sand beach, inspired by Habitas’ famous beach club at its inaugural home in Tulum, will include a second restaurant and dedicated wellness center with natural swimming pools, hot springs, temazcal and a complete line of spa services.
The new location is the ninth addition to the Habitas portfolio, including Namibia and Saudi Arabia. It’s the third Mexico opening from the brand, following Tulum and Bacalar.
