Bentley’s Emerald-Elegant Tribute to a 1926 Icon

Bentley is revisiting a defining moment in its history with a new Mulliner commission. Named the Olympia Collection, the series consists of just 12 individually numbered Continental GTs, each created to honour the 6½ Litre Bentley displayed at the Olympia Motor Show in 1926. A century later, the collection brings that early chapter of the marque’s story into a contemporary grand tourer.

The exterior is defined by a bespoke colour treatment developed exclusively for the series. Verdant green gradually deepens into Midnight Emerald, giving the bodywork a layered finish that changes character across its surfaces. Champagne Gold accents introduce a warmer counterpoint, while a fine pinstripe along the lower body takes inspiration from the nickel-silver radiator shells fitted to Bentley models of the period.

A Blackline specification lends the design a more contemporary edge. The matrix grille, air intakes, and rear diffuser are finished in black, creating contrast against the green paint. The 22-inch alloy wheels continue the two tone approach, with Champagne Gold details that echo the exterior trim. Olympia Collection badges on the front wings and door openings identify the special edition, while bespoke plaques throughout the car reinforce its individual character.

The cabin carries the exterior palette into a more intimate setting. Cumbrian Green and Coach Green leathers are used across the interior, set against a dashboard in black-stained, open-pore walnut veneer. The dark wood provides a restrained backdrop for the controls, where Bentley’s signature diamond knurling adds texture to the dials and touchpoints.

The Continental GT’s rotating display has been tailored for the collection. Alongside the individual number of each car, its dials and bezels take cues from the instruments of the original 6½ Litre. Champagne Gold accents appear again inside, including on the seat piping, gear lever, and organ-stop controls for the air vents. The result is a cabin in which the special edition details are woven into the design rather than confined to a single commemorative badge.

Further touches extend the collection beyond the car itself. Black treadplates feature the “Olympia Collection by Mulliner” motif, and each of the 12 examples will be accompanied by a bespoke green car cover with matching Champagne Gold detailing. At handover, each owner will also receive a handcrafted Brooklands watch, giving the commission a personal keepsake connected to Bentley’s heritage.

Bentley has not released pricing for the Olympia Collection. The standard Continental GT starts at £202,000, and the rarity and bespoke specification of these 12 cars are expected to place them at a substantial premium. For collectors, the appeal lies in the combination of a modern grand tourer with carefully chosen references to a Bentley first shown a century ago.
