Vacheron Constantin has announced a new dial color for their sporty-yet-elegant Overseas Dual Time. For the 2019 Overseas Dual Time maintains the same 41 mm x 12.8 mm dimensions, in stainless steel, with three bracelets/straps all included: stainless steel bracelet, rubber strap, or leather strap, with the company’s toolless quick-change functionality.
The new black dial is made up of glossy, translucent black lacquer over a sunburst-brushed surface, giving it a slightly nuanced colour that’s similar to that found on the Overseas Perpetual Calendar with a blue lacquer dial. And because the minute track is printed on a matte, granular chapter ring, the result is a subtle, two-tone dial. The main central pencil-shaped hour hand indicates “local time” and the shorted red-tipped hour hand indicates “home time” which you can set to where you live while traveling, or to another location you work with on the regular, or whatever second time zone you want to track.
The movement is also the same automatic winding caliber 5510 DT beating at 4 Hz, with 234 components, 37 jewels, and two barrels wound by a 22K gold oscillating weight good for 60-hours maximum. As with all Overseas watches, the 5110 DT has a solid gold rotor cast in the form of a compass rose.
Vacheron Constantin Overseas Dual Time Black Dial (Ref. 7900V/110A-B546) with the retail price of $22,900 and will be available starting December 2019. Discover Opulent Club on Apple News.
