Meet the Ferrari SP38, the latest one-off addition from Ferrari’s Design Centre based on the 488 GTB chassis. Meet the Ferrari SP38, the latest one-off addition from Ferrari’s Design Centre based on the 488 GTB chassis.
The SP38 can be driven both on the road and the track. The unique body styling is finished in three-layer metallic red. The design is inspired by the iconic F40 of the late ’80s and early ’90s. The company has made no mention of any changes to the donor vehicle’s running gear, so we’ll have to assume the SP38 is powered by the same 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 as the 488 GTB.
There are no images of the SP38’s interior at this point, although it’s said to have its own unique trim, if not design. The beautiful one-off car will be unveiled to the public at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy this Saturday, 26 May.
