Zenith has unveiled a new limited edition under its Defy Classic collection that celebrates the next generation Range Rover Evoque. The Zenith Defy Classic takes inspiration from the vehicle’s fewer lines, sophistication and reductionism that’s heavy on function and light on frill and has a recognizable, distinct silhouette.
Presented in a 41 mm x 10.75 mm brushed titanium angular-shaped Defy case with an openwork dial, the watch is resolutely contemporary just like the Range Rover with which it’s paired. Powered by Zenith’s new Elite skeletonised movement, caseback and black rubber strap with titanium folding clasp. This includes the seconds hand and oscillating weight in Arctic Petrol (turquoise blue) inspired by the accents on Evoques steering wheel and seats. The watch has a power resistance of minimum 48 hours and is water resistant up to 10 ATM.
This is a partnership with Range Rover, and for this watch specifically, the new Evoque, which is a compact luxury utility vehicle, has been paired with Zenith’s Defy collection for a 200 piece limited edition.
Julien Tornare, Chief Executive Officer, Zenith said: “If Zenith was a car it would definitely be a Range Rover! Both are recognised as icons in their fields. Both share the same values as well as a number of key assets, including charisma, technical refinement and remarkable performance. Both have innovation in their very DNA. The Defy and the Range Rover are both desirable, luxurious trademarks and pioneering cornerstone of their industries – objects with which there is an immediate emotional connection. Both are inspired by the past while looking firmly to the future.”
