Ancona, Italy-based Columbus Yachts announced a new 120-meter/394-foot gigayacht Columbus Classic, designed by Italian design studio Hydro Tec. The yacht has a steel hull with an aluminum superstructure and accommodates 22 guests.
Designers Hydro Tec have integrated clean lines with contemporary features across 10 cabins. Accessible through the upper deck main lobby, the owner’s apartment boasts a private office and massage room, while the outdoor lounge and Jacuzzi can be found forward of the owner’s cabin.
The tender garage is located forward of the beach club with space for two 12-meter tenders (limo tender and runabout), a crew tender and watersport toys like sea bobs, etc. This area also will be home to a dive center where guests will find dive suits and other gear.
The top-deck aft will be equipped with a helicopter deck, while the sunbathing area and sky lounge will offer plenty of opportunities to relax in the sun. Al fresco dining lounge will be located on the top deck, complete with a rounded seating area and chimney in the centre.
The Columbus Classic 120M is powered by two RR Azipull 120. The power comes from seven MTU generators with a total power of 10 MW. Propulsion will be made up of twin Rolls-Royce Azipull 120s and a Rolls-Royce Promas Lite propeller/rudder system that provides efficient propulsion with lower emissions.
