Bentley Motors has just unveiled the new Continental GT Mulliner Convertible as the new luxury flagship of the range. Behind the creation of this car is Bentley Mulliner, the English automaker’s own bespoke division. Bentley Mulliner is actually the oldest automotive coachbuilder in the world.
The Continental GT Mulliner Convertible is identifiable on the outside from its new unique double-diamond front grille and matching bespoke side vents, all finished in either silver or black, complemented by new 22-inch 10-spoke painted and polished wheels with self-leveling wheel badges.
The cabin’s been laid out with double diamond all over nearly 400,000 stitches worth of it, with each carefully aligned diamond containing precisely 712 stitches. The embroidery process alone took 18 months to develop. The new double diamond theme continues throughout the new Bentley, quilting design that’s featured on all four seats, the door cards, rear quarters and -for the first time- on the tonneau cover. Customers can choose among eight, custom-made three-color combinations. To add even more diamonds to the interior, Mulliner mills the shape into the metal trim on the center console. It’s also on the face of the Breitling timepiece that’s in between the vents.
The new Bentley Continental GT Mulliner Convertible will be available with both the V8 and the W12 powertrains. This new model will make its global debut at the Geneva International Motor Show on March 3, 2020. Discover Opulent Club on Apple News.
