On the occasion of Piaget’s 150th anniversary the Piaget Polo 79 returns, staying true to the original design while incorporating subtle updates. The new watch is fully 18-carat yellow gold. Not only its case and integrated bracelet, but also its dial, hands and indices.
While the Piaget Polo 79 is surely eye-catching, it keeps another additional embellishment to the minimal. On the dial, the hour markers and minute track come in the form of tonal dotted engravings, topped with only Piaget’s logo and matching dauphine hands. It ditches the quartz movement in favor of the ultra-thin 1200P1 in-house self-winding caliber, visible through a slightly enlarged 38mm case with a crystal back that boasts a thickness of only 7.45mm.
The Piaget Polo 79 to be a limited production of 79 examples, with a recommended price tag of $73,000 USD.
