Aston Martin Debuts Its First Luxury Residence in Tokyo

Aston Martin, the British ultra-luxury automaker, has unveiled its first residential project in Asia: N°001 Minami Aoyama, a four-storey townhouse located in Tokyo’s prestigious Omotesandō district. Spanning 724 square meters, the private residence marks a bold step in expanding Aston Martin’s luxury lifestyle offerings beyond the automotive world.

Developed in collaboration with luxury real estate firm Vibroa Inc., the project reflects Aston Martin’s continued exploration of architectural design—following its high-profile Aston Martin Residences in Miami. The brand’s global design ambitions are also taking shape elsewhere, including an interior concept for The Astera on Al Marjan Island in the UAE.

From the outside, N°001 Minami Aoyama resembles a contemporary art installation more than a traditional home. Vertical metal fins line the façade, capturing and reflecting light to create a dynamic interplay of shadows and forms throughout the day. These louvers also offer subtle glimpses into the refined interior—a hint of mirrored ceilings and lush spa terraces peeking through the sleek, sculptural exterior.

Spread across four meticulously designed levels including a generous basement this nearly 8,000-square-foot residence offers a seamless blend of luxury, craftsmanship, and understated elegance. Every inch of the home has been thoughtfully curated, with each level revealing a distinct mood and atmosphere. The lower floors embrace a palette of deep, sophisticated tones and tactile materials, creating a sense of intimacy and warmth. Rich wood finishes, textured stone, and ambient lighting define these spaces, inviting moments of quiet retreat. As you ascend, the interiors gradually transition to a lighter, more ethereal feel. The upper levels are bathed in natural light, enhanced by pale woods, soft fabrics, and open layouts that encourage fluid movement and a connection to the outdoors.

This architectural rhythm culminates at the rooftop terrace an elevated sanctuary that offers a tranquil escape above the city, framed by clean lines and panoramic views. Altogether, the residence is a masterclass in spatial harmony, where each floor contributes to a larger narrative of refined, intentional living.

The centerpiece of the residence is its ground-floor automotive gallery, crafted to present two Aston Martin models as sculptural works of art. This climate-controlled space features adaptive lighting, a wave-textured metal ceiling, and custom glass panels that seamlessly connect it to the main living areas. While shielded from street view, the cars remain visually integrated into the home’s interior design.

N°001 Minami Aoyama marks a deeper commitment by Aston Martin to Japan and the broader Asian market, following the recent launch of its showroom in Ginza. As a bold expression of the brand’s fusion of architecture and lifestyle, this project suggests it’s only the beginning expect to see more of Aston Martin blending its design philosophy into the world of luxury living.
