The Italian Dolomites have a stunning new way to be experienced: Aman Rosa Alpina has officially opened, reimagining a historic San Cassiano hotel with breathtaking views and a fresh, elevated approach to alpine luxury. Long stewarded by the Pizzinini family since welcoming its first guests in 1939, the hotel has now joined Aman’s portfolio ahead of the Milan–Cortina Winter Olympics in February 2026. Reborn as Aman Rosa Alpina, it offers unmatched access to Italy’s top winter destination while staying true to its serene mountain-town roots.

Aman Rosa Alpina’s transformation brings a fresh alpine elegance to the Dolomites, with interiors envisioned by renowned designer Jean-Michel Gathy of Denniston. The retreat offers 51 thoughtfully appointed rooms and suites, each echoing the surrounding mountain landscape through natural textures and refined details. Many feature private balconies, wood burning fireplaces, and expansive windows that frame the dramatic peaks.

Wellness takes center stage at Aman Rosa Alpina, reimagined with a deep connection to the alpine environment. Guests can unwind in a 65-foot heated outdoor infinity pool with sweeping mountain views, or choose from dedicated indoor pools for families and fitness swimmers alike. The serene wellness area also includes hydrotherapy experiences such as a Finnish sauna, invigorating cold plunge, and a curated menu of signature treatments designed to restore balance and vitality.

Aman Rosa Alpina’s dining experience is a refined tribute to the region’s alpine character and culinary heritage. The relaxed yet elegant Lounge Bar evoking the charm of a classic mountain salon welcomes guests with artisanal coffee by day and craft cocktails with live music by night, all set against sweeping Dolomite views. The main restaurant offers an elevated take on rustic fare, from wood fired seafood and hand-stretched pizzas to a shows topping Florentine steak, ideal for summer evenings on the terrace. In the winter season, the resort introduces Akari, a Japanese inspired dining concept featuring communal hot pot and curated sake selections. Wine connoisseurs can arrange private tastings in the Di Vino Room, while those seeking a quieter escape may retreat to the Cigar Lounge.

Adventure lies at the heart of Aman Rosa Alpina’s experience, with the Dolomites serving as a year-round playground. In warmer months, guests can join expert-led hikes through alpine meadows and national parks, cycle along wooded trails, or enjoy a round at the scenic Alta Badia golf course. Come winter, the hotel’s dedicated Ski Concierge ensures seamless access to the legendary Dolomiti Superski region—home to over 1,200 kilometers of pristine slopes and 450 lifts—offering world-class skiing just moments from the property.

Starting in August, midweek and limited weekend stays are priced from approximately $2,300 per night. Global guests should keep in mind that the current summer season at Aman Rosa Alpina concludes on October 12, with reservations reopening for the 2025–2026 winter season beginning December 4.
