Ulysse Nardin’s latest collaborative drop is one of its most ambitious yet—and arguably, its coldest. The Blast x Amoureuxpeintre is defined by a simple yet artistic design that exudes effortless style. This comes as no surprise, given that Amoureuxpeintre is renowned for minimalism.

Ulysse Nardin and Amoureuxpeintre embarked on their creative journey with a focus on the unseen beauty of everyday life. Designer Vsevolod Sever Cherepanov infused the project with his signature minimalism, balancing simplicity and complexity to create a deeply reflective vision. The collaboration centers on the 42mm Blast Skeleton X, a model defined by its X-shaped and rectangular bridges on the dial side. Positioned like sentinels, these bridges protect the radically skeletonized and vertically aligned UN-371 movement.

With its translucent dial, the Nardin Blast x Amoureuxpeintre watch reveals its intricate mechanism while keeping it subtly veiled. Certain sections take on a shadow-like appearance, enhancing its aesthetic depth. Notably, these shadows shift under different lighting conditions, adding a dynamic visual effect. Ulysse Nardin dedicated two years to perfecting the finishing techniques, blending advanced laser engraving for a frosted effect with a delicate fumé (smoked) finish achieved through thin metallization.

The Manufacture Calibre UN-371 powers the watch, offering a 96-hour power reserve and featuring a state-of-the-art wide balance wheel in silicon with nickel flyweights—first introduced in the FREAK VISION. This exceptional movement is showcased beneath a frosted sapphire dial, crafted using advanced laser techniques and metallization to create its signature ethereal, blurred effect.

The Blast x Amoureuxpeintre comes with a grey Alcantara strap and a sandblasted grey titanium tang buckle. Limited to just 29 pieces, it is priced at CHF 31,000 (incl. taxes), EUR 33,100 (incl. taxes), or USD 32,700 (excl. taxes).
