Vacheron Constantin unveils three new interpretations of the Traditionnelle Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin, a collection that pays homage to the enduring codes of classical Haute Horlogerie as the Manufacture approaches its 270th anniversary. The models are crafted in 18k 5N pink gold, 18k white gold, and a diamond set white gold variant. Notably, this launch also marks the Maison’s first non-gem set Traditionnelle timepieces to be offered in this more compact case size.

Looking more closely, all three references share the same refined proportions, measuring 36.5 mm in diameter and just 8.43 mm in thickness. The pair rendered in 18K 5N pink gold and 18K white gold represent the first non gem set Traditionnelle models to adopt this case size, while a third execution in white gold is elevated by a diamond-set bezel, lugs, and crown. Each timepiece features a silver-toned opaline dial, a sapphire crystal caseback revealing the movement, and water resistance rated to 30 meters. The non–gem-set versions are fitted with 18K 5N pink gold hands and hour markers, while the diamond-set model opts for matching white-gold elements to complement its case.

Conceived as an exercise in proportion and restraint, the dial architecture prioritizes symmetry and legibility, subtly referencing the storied Ref. 43031 introduced in 1983. A silver toned opaline canvas serves as the stage for three perfectly balanced calendar registers, while a moon phase display at six o’clock lends a poetic counterpoint. Faceted Dauphine hands and applied baton hour markers complete the composition, reinforcing the quiet authority of classical high watchmaking.

Each interpretation expresses a distinct personality through nuanced detail. The 18k 5N pink gold model embraces tonal coherence, enriched by a deep blue moon phase disc and a harmoniously matched strap. In white gold, the design becomes more graphic, juxtaposing pink gold hands and markers against a lighter blue moon phase and a light brown strap. The diamond-set white gold version distills the aesthetic even further, its refined palette elevated by discreetly grain-set diamonds and finished with a dark blue strap for understated elegance.

Beneath the surface beats the Manufacture Calibre 1120 QP, an automatic movement revered for its ultra-thin construction and perpetual calendar complication. Comprising 276 components, it intuitively accounts for leap years and variable month lengths, requiring no correction until 2100. Visible through a sapphire caseback, the movement reveals an exacting level of hand finishing Côtes de Genève, meticulously beveled bridges, circular graining, and a 22k open-worked gold rotor shaped as the Maltese cross an enduring symbol of Vacheron Constantin’s uncompromising dedication to Haute Horlogerie.

Finished with matching alligator leather straps, the latest Traditionnelle Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin timepieces from Vacheron Constantin are priced at €103,000 ($120,000.00), with the diamond set bezel edition commanding €108,000 ($126,600.00) .
