Maria Grazia Chiuri returned to the Paris Fashion Week stage to put forth her Fall/Winter 2024 manifesto: a continued championship of womanhood through the lens of Miss Dior. As usual, the Maison‘s large grey cubicle stood imposingly over the nature of the space, welcoming numerous celebrities, ambassadors, friends and relevant personalities of the sector such as Rosalia, Jennifer Lawrence, Maisie Williams, Natalie Portman, among many others. And we had the opportunity, once again, to be part of this historic moment.
To the soundtrack of “Je T’aime Moi Non Plus,” The interior space, conceived by by Indian artist Shakuntala Kulkarni, was completely taken over by her installation in which she refers to the rediscovery of the fighting power that a woman’s body can embody, this moment being a key point in the personal, political and cultural journey of women. It is for this reason that Maria Grazia Chiuri has worked hand in hand with her, fighting together for women’s liberation and empowerment through art.
Its collection was almost entirely monochrome and beige — a heady mix of nouveau riche fantasy, from gabardine to the little white dress, via tweed and more urban denim and leopard-print styles.
