From December 15 to January 9, 2023, Chanel will set up shop at the Grand Palais Éphémère, an exhibition dedicated to fragrance via a unique sensory adventure Le Grand Numéro de Chanel.
Curated by Thomas du Pré de Saint Maur, Chanel’s head of global creative resources for fragrance and beauty, fine jewellery and watches, the exhibit takes visitors through the history of the maison’s most famous fragrances and brings them to life in new ways. Visitors will be invited to use all their senses, but especially sight and smell. The opportunity for them to discover or rediscover sweet and woody notes that have embalmed women and men since 1924.
“We’re always trying to find new ways to show what is the full power of fragrance, the full action and experience that a fragrance can deliver you when you wear it, when you see it, when you smell it,” de Saint Maur says.
Le Grand Numéro de Chanel is a sophisticated yet whimsical interactive museum, showcasing Chanel’s famous fragrance portfolio through a range of mediums, including a cabaret, live music, art installations, fashion displays from the archives and virtual reality immersions.
This retrospective invites the visitor to go back in time and the history of a House that has been transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary for over 60 years. Discover Opulent Club on Apple news.
